Mission

Technical assistance mission to the client

With a capacity of about 10,000 seats, Court Suzanne-Lenglen is one of the essential venues of Roland-Garros. As part of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Court Lenglen was designated as the venue for the boxing events. The project to cover the court comes in this context and as a continuation of the site’s modernisation works.
The specific features of the project are a long-span steel structure, a mobile tensioned-fabric roof, a responsible approach aiming for 100% recycled steel, a carbon budget below 3,100 tCO2e, the use of low-carbon concrete and renewable energy production above 70 MWh/year.
The FFT wants this roofing project to continue the environmental approach initiated across the whole site, notably by working on reducing the project’s carbon footprint, improving comfort of use for players and spectators, fitting into the site’s overall rainwater management system and not harming the biodiversity currently being developed.
