The project is part of the history of a legendary district, that of the Saint-Lazare station, immortalised by Claude Monet.
Above the peristyle rises the façade, a vibrating, subtly coloured veil of glass that plays with the light of the sky and dematerialises in a shifting assembly of reflections. The dominant blue is lit up, at the far end of the passage, by an orange sun, a tribute to Claude Monet’s Impressionist skies.
The station-side façade evokes the rhythm and reflections of the historic glass roof, of which it seems to be the contemporary continuation, in a determination to extend the architectural, industrial and railway heritage of this emblematic structure.
